There is an increasing need for policymakers to co-create out-of-the-box solutions with the private and people sectors. We are now at a critical juncture to address urgent human and intellectual capital gaps and to catalyse governments to be active collaborators with other sectors. In light of this, AVPN is hosting a two-part Policy Workshop to increase the capacity of Southeast Asian policymakers to engage the largest social investment network in Asia.

This morning segment of the workshop targets policymakers in Indonesia and other key ASEAN markets to build their capacity and equip them with a practical understanding of how to apply and deploy the Continuum of Capital.

Session Description

Understanding the Continuum of Capital | 9am – 10.30am

  • The session begins by introducing the current social investment landscape across various ASEAN markets, building knowledge around the Continuum of Capital through sharings supplied by different types of funders, and providing a cognisant view of key trends and developments of the demand and supply of impact capital in the region. Deploying the Continuum of Capital | 10.30am – 12pm

  • Adopting a case-based learning approach, the session will move on to present real-life examples of how governments, policy partners, and intermediaries are exploring innovative blended finance instruments and working to coalesce multiple streams of capital through robust partnerships to finance the Sustainable Development Goals.
