Aya is a Manager at IDinsight, based in Manila, Philippines. She supports the growth of the Manila office by seeking and cultivating new partnerships in the region. She is currently managing monitoring and evaluation projects on workforce development and research on extreme poverty in the Philippines. Previously, she led a set of case studies in Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam, on private sector initiatives that aim to improve workplace gender equality.
Prior to joining IDinsight, Aya worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, and worked on financial inclusion issues at Grameen Foundation in Southeast Asia. Aya holds bachelor's and master's degrees in applied mathematics in finance from the Ateneo de Manila University, and an MPA in economics and public policy from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.
